And sometimes a whole lot of something. Darcien Balog is known for filling voids wherever she is. And this means learning new skills--sometimes self-taught, sometimes formally educated.

She has been designing websites for nearly 9 years. When she and her husband, Rev. Steven Balog, moved to a new-reboot church in Arizona, she took on the role of expanding the church's presence digitally--through social media (and live streaming), website design, and digital and printed ads. While she learned a great deal by herself, she decided a formal education would benefit the church, and maybe even other churches on shoestring budgets. She started down the path for her Associates of Applied Science in Graphic Design at Yavapai College in 2019.
